Trail

This trail needs coordinates

To show a forecast and map, the trail in Notion needs the latitude and longitude of its trailhead.

  1. On a computer, open Google Maps and find the trailhead parking or start point.
  2. Right-click the exact spot. The first line of the menu is the coordinates, for example 45.5689, -78.5167. Click that line to copy it. (On a phone: press and hold the spot, then copy the numbers from the search box.)
  3. In Notion, open the trail and paste the first number into Latitude and the second number (keep the minus sign) into Longitude.
  4. Tap Forecast & map on the trail again.

Latitude is between −90 and 90; longitude is between −180 and 180. West of Greenwich (all of North America) longitude is negative.
